FUDGE
Aliens
The galaxy is full of planets that sustain life, most of it DNA-based. The aliens listed
in this section have played a prominent role in at least one book in the series. As a
result, these pages have quite a few spoilers.
I've divided the aliens into groups based on how they behave in the books. The exception
is for extinct aliens. If the PCs go through a Sario rip,
they'll become important. The GM can decide how they behave then. Otherwise, they're listed
for information purposes only.
Not every trait is listed for each alien. Assume any unlisted trait is essentially the
same as for humans.
In addition to the listed races, the PCs may encounter one or two of the ultra-powerful
entities at war in the universe. Neither interferes directly in mortal concerns, if only
because to do so would bring them back into direct conflict that could destroy the universe.
Instead, they battle by supporting individuals, groups or races that will further their
respective aims. In game terms, each of the two is a plot hook, not a character.
- Crayak
- Crayak is the ultimate evil force in the universe. He envisions the stronger races
destroying the weaker until the strongest survive, and he controls them. In other words,
Crayak is the ultimate bad guy. We finally meet him in Animorphs #26: The
Attack.
- The Drode
- The Drode is Crayak's errand boy on Earth. He appears to be a bizarre mix of dinosaur,
bird and mammal. He is a unique being, indestructible and given a measure of Crayak's power.
He exists solely as a Maguffin. He first appeared in Animorphs #27: The
Exposed and returned in Megamorphs #3: Elfangor's Secret.
- The Ellimist
- The Ellimist has been fighting Crayak for so many millenia that he is legendary to many
races. Andalite myths recall in broad terms the destruction that accompanied the Ellimist's
direct battles with Crayak, but only enough to paint the Ellimist as a sort of bogeyman. He
may help the PCs in ways that will further his cause.
The Ellimist has appeared in many books. Animorphs #7: The Stranger
introduced him. Animorphs #13: The Change shed light on some of his motives.
He appears in The Andalite Chronicles and Animorphs #26: The
Attack as well.
