This is sort of a catch-all section for gadgets and phenomena that don't fit anywhere else. Non-technological things like natural phenomena are listed below. Farther down are links to the three main classes of technology.
A word about spacecraft: We see Bug fighters underwater in Animorphs #27: The Exposure. Ax also comments in Animorphs #36: The Mutation that most spacecraft can travel underwater for a short time. Assume this is true for all spacecraft unless otherwise noted.
A Sario rip that extends far enough into the past can interfere with the regenerative effects of morphing. Injuries sustained before morphing won't heal through morph effects, and can cause severe pain if morphing is tried. Also, morphs acquired on the other side of a Sario rip aren't kept. The only things that come forward in time are memories.
The best reference materials on the Sario rip are Animorphs #11: The Forgotten and Megamorphs #2: In the Time of the Dinosaurs. The effects of being in two places at the same time are described in the former book, but are not recommended for play. It requires too much railroading.
It's really a front for the Yeerks, used to get new hosts. It turns up in almost every book, and the PCs can expect to be approached about it from time to time. Friends and family members may already belong.
It is important to remember that not every member of the Sharing is a Controller. There's an "inner circle" of members who are Controllers, and every leader is a Controller as well.
