Obviously, several books are required reading. First and foremost are the Animorphs books by K. A. Applegate, of course. But do your best to stay away from Alternamorphs: The First Journey. It's obviously alternate universe stuff, but it has no useful information aside from speculation about multiple Sario rips. And it sucks. It has exactly one path to success. Deviation causes instant death, with no sub-paths or even multiple scenes. In fact, you can read the stupid thing from cover to cover, and you'll hit all the branches in sequence.
There's also the TV show on Nickelodeon, but to me it lacks something essential. How does it feel to be an animal? The show can't really answer that. I do like the way the Yeerks disguise their Dracon beams as flashlights, though.
is also required. Best of all, it's free! And Grey Ghost Press has announced
Animal Companions for
the second time, which will probably be all but necessary when it's released.
You'll probably want a good encyclopedia also. You'll need information about as many animals as possible.
