Everything below is presumably of Andalite origin.
Dome Ship
This mushroom-shaped craft is enormous. The main saucer-shaped section is maybe half a
mile across, with a clear dome covering a park over the center. The "stem" section has the
drive engines and weapons. The two sections can be separated, but the dome can only maneuver
lightly, enough to keep it in orbit or move it away from a battle.
This Andalite invention gives the morph ability. No known race has the ability
naturally, but any DNA-based creature can gain it by touching this small blue cube (about
four inches on a side) for one minute. It only works once for any given creature, though.
Touching it a second time has no effect.
This Andalite device can be programmed for a number of DNA patterns. It will then kill
all non-programmed patterns. It cannot distinguish between members of a species, nor can it
count how many species representatives are in its reach.
Ionic-dispersion Explosive
Andalite weapon mentioned in passing by Aldrea in The Hork-Bajir
Chronicles.
Quantum-level Virus
A quantum-level virus infects the host at the molecular level, rather than the cellular.
This bypasses the immune system and causes a rapid death as the host body falls apart. The
only example we have is Virus Q-One-Eighteen from The Hork-Bajir Chronicles.
Proton-shift Device
In Megamorphs #2: In the Time of the Dinosaurs, Ax believes an H-bomb to
be one of these, due to the power of the explosion. (He also makes disparaging comments
about plutonium.) Later on he comments that most Andalite explosives are no larger than a
baseball. Proton-shift explosives must therefore generate at least as much energy as a
modern thermonuclear warhead, and are probably capable of a lot more. They're also highly
concealable.
Shredder
This is the basic Andalite energy weapon. It has the same damage range as
Dracon beams, but can also be set to stun with no physical
damage. It tends to spread rapidly unless it's being fired through a fairly clear atmosphere
or space. It also doesn't cause the pain that Dracon beams do. However, both shredders and
Dracon beams lose power over distance. In The Hork-Bajir Chronicles, Esplin
9466 bases his strategy in part on the increased effectiveness of the weapons at 5,000
meters versus 20,000 meters.
